Reliance

"Relying on God has to begin all over again every day
as if nothing yet had been done."
~ C.S. Lewis ~

Lamentations 3
22 Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him."

Psalm 118

23 the LORD has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.

24 This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

25 O LORD, save us;
O LORD, grant us success.

These are the verses that came to my mind right away when I read this quote. I am amazed that every day can start fresh, the slate washed clean. This is the only relationship that never fails me. I know that no matter what the calendar says, that my Savior is holding my hand as I go through the day -washing laundry, chaffeuring, dare I say napping (?).

Yet, my desire to know Jesus and rely on him is all up to me. Am I going to set aside the time to praise my savior today? What mood am I going to have? How can I serve someone today? WWJD? These are my thoughts. Hope you have a great Tuesday!
